Deciding to go to counselling is a bold step, and picking the perfect way to meet will make the experience all the more comfortable and enjoyable for you.
Some of my clients like to do an activity while we talk, some want to do an activity as a form of therapy and let topics come up naturally. I am very flexible, and love the opportunity to meet in unique ways. Below you fill find the different ways we can connect. Keep in mind that no matter what environment we choose, confidentiality is still of utmost importance.
You pick the venue.
In Office
My office space is an Abbotsford landmark: upstairs in The House of James. This is convenient for many and offers the “no barrier” type of face-to-face conversation that some of my clients prefer or need in counselling.

Virtually or by phone
Some individuals prefer to meet in the comfort of their home. Perhaps you are a busy father with young kids. Finding a quiet room is much easier than driving to my office. Also, this allows me to meet you until as late as 10:00pm on week nights.
Counselling Adventure
Prefer a classic “shoulder to shoulder” conversation instead? Let’s go for a hike at a quiet local spot in Abbotsford or go fishing. Some of my clients want to ‘do’ something while talking and I’m always up for adventure. This can be done within the 1-hour time frame and we can pick something as simple as a walk or a more focused hike. We can still accomplish a lot of therapy in this way.
